Gap next to Dead Pedal?

A gap of a cm or 2, but you can't fit your finger? How big is your finger!?!?!?

BTW: I have a gap...and a depression between the dead pedal and the wall. I've learned to live with it, but maybe a pin or two will reinforce it.

LOL Sorry.. I should've stuck with inches... I meant a mm or two... The panel is not flush against the carpet, I can still feel a gap when I run my finger along it, but it won't be able to slide underneath anymore, like it did in the photo.
