Hi handy people of the Tesla community. I found this covered outlet in my garage and wondering if someone could identify if it's 120V or 240V? Can I use this for the Tesla wallmount? or maybe at best it's a regular dryer outlet?

I would need to see it with the wires pulled out of the box to say for sure but it appears to be 120. I see the white neutral wires tied together and what appears to be just one other wirenut with all of the 120 volt wires tied together. If there are more connections inside the box that aren’t visible in the picture I could be wrong. Be very careful if you try to pull them out as they will sometimes pull out of the connector under stress exposing you to a shock hazard. Should turn off power to explore further.

Thank you. I won't touch it, we'll call an electrician to check it out. Since we're renting I won't put any money into putting in a 240 plug for the wall charger. I will make due with the 120 and charging at work. Appreciate your response.

You might over-estimate how much it costs to install an outlet. $80-$200 in many cases, less than your utility bill.
