Yeah, I had read about that in the Merc. Really embarrassing. That Lincvolt never seemed like a good idea to begin with. Such a heavy car to convert. Finally done and then it goes up in smoke.

That they even considered that shows how misguided their effort was, albeit well intentioned.
Here in Ontario high speed chases are illegal. But sometimes the police try to stop someone and they take off at high speed and crash anyway.

Gas stations are dangerous, but so are highways. This is what I saw on my evening commute home on the Palisades Parkway.

It's time for government to step in to curb this kind of behavior; transporting dangerous chemicals around like that is simply irresponsible. It's a wonder no one was hurt but look at the damage to the infrastructure and the cost to thousands of CA residents and business whos day was disrupted.

The bridge it burned under has to be replaced.
