Background. My order is, for now, what I want it to be but I fat-fingered the payment option (about June 30th, order was put in June 27) and the website has never allowed me to change that. I am borrowing part of the purchase price, and also wanted to check what Tesla will give me for a rate.

I waited 3 weeks for the phone lines to die down before even trying. Still wasn't working out trying it this week, so I decided to try save time by just visiting the showroom. The lady there was very helpful. First, confirmed I don't yet have a VIN (or delivery specialist assigned). I do have an inside sales person assigned and she emailed my concern to them. Within minutes she got a reply and has that note attached to my file. I also have a delivery specialist assigned, now.

Please use appropriately, don't make them regret helping me ;) , but confirming a friendly face-to-face can help if you're having difficulty getting through on the phone.

P.S. The Service Center isn't able to help with this stuff, it has to be the sales team.

Wait, you're in Texas... Greetings from Houston.

I think technically you didn't speak to the "sales" team since due to the "wisdom" of our legislature Tesla isn't allowed to "sell" cars in Texas. Something about the lack of a dealer network to add price inflated options you don't really want.

Hi. Yeah, I'm Houston-ish. Close enough that I plan to swing by Weights & Measures Saturday morning.

Er, I guess? So she's "customer service" maybe? Better yet, "fixer". ;)

That whole rent-seeking mess makes things so weird. The galleries book and run test drives, the staff will run through hypotheticals on vehicles. They even have a drive in garage space into the back of the store, if you've been to the Woodlands location? They just don't deliver vehicles out of the storefront, and you talk to someone out-of-state for arranging paperwork and payment.
