Gear shifter stalk part is in for replacement

For all of you who have that little grey piece of plastic lifting up from your right hand stalk, Tesla just called me that they got the part in and are replacing the whole stalk.

I’m sure a lot of people have this problem but I guess the repair was more than just glueing a new one on.

Mine got glued back down by the ranger. Replacement is overkill - he said the adhesive or tape holding the two parts together hadn't been strong enough or applied properly at first.

Oakville SC replaced my whole steering wheel for the that piece that lifted off the stalk.

Mine was glued back on by Vancouver Tesla service center.

This is the statement on my invoice.
"Technician re-secured gear selector trim piece as required. Verified proper fitment."
