I wonder what TM is using at Space-X for testing Model S? They must have several additional prototypes we have not yet seen.

The prototype was made at Space X. It seems that the car is actually being developed there as well. The tragic plane crash says some work is being done up north but the heavy lifting is done in the expanses of the SX facility.
