Anyone heard news on when the new Gen 3 wall chargers are expected to have the power sharing feature enabled?

I'm also curious on how we'll get notified of when a software update gets released. For now, I'm just periodically connecting to the wall connector wifi SSID and checking to see if the firmware version has changed.

Do you have your WC connected to your home wifi? If so, you can connect to it just by going directly to the ip address it connects to your home wifi with.

As an aside, i have two Gen 3 WCs and they're on different firmware versions - one is on 0.8.52 and the other is on 0.8.4. I ordered both right when they were released - one is an 8.5' and the other 18'. They had slightly different manuals with them (one has the QR code, the other does not). I haven't seen a way to make them update. I'm not sure how long they've been different, whether they always were or one updated. The later version one shows up on my network as TeslaWallConnector, with support for Bonjour, Web Interface, and Pingable, whereas the earlier one shows no ID and no Bonjour support. Nonetheless, I'm still not seeing a power sharing option on either.

Any updates on this? I just installed two Gen 3. There is no option for power sharing.

I haven't seen any. I check my WC software versions every week or so and both are now on 0.8.52 so they do/can update, but still no power sharing. this seems like a super easy feature to roll out, i'm not sure why it's taking so long.

They do not update you when firmware is updated. Power sharing is supported now - only between V3 wall chargers.

Have you actually set up power sharing? I'm on 0.8.58 and see no option to set up power sharing even after power cycling them and going through the setup wizard.

I don't believe that. This would have been a much bigger deal that would have been reported here, and I watch these forums daily.

Starting to wonder if the power sharing feature will ever be released.
