Tesla has just increased the price of the Gen3 Wall Connector by $50 US. The new price is $550 US. You can select either the 18 ft or 24 ft charging cord when ordering.

Oh and it sure looked like the one I received had been “opened”. There was no protective film on the glass face plate and the mounting template mounting holes were deformed. So I have no qualms over returning it. At least I will get a NEW one.

The first WC I received had definitely been opened. The seal on the box was broken and the box was also damaged. I emailed Tesla and they had the gall to ask me whether it worked. I told them I don't care if it works or not, I ordered a new product and I expect to get a new product. And on top of that, if it happens to not work, the electrician has to come back and remove the old one and install the new one and that's a waste of both my time and his time. They took back the old one and shipped me another one.
