If you get a used Model S, make sure it's a dual-motor version.
You probably don't want a RWD in the snow, even with proper snow tires. People do it, but if you want a real snow car, get a used 70D if you don't care about performance or range. An 85D, P85D, 90D, or P90D would also work and give you a little more range in the winter when cold temps reduce range.
I took my P85 into the snow exactly once, and it was a miserable experience. When we bought a mountain home, I replaced it immediately with a Y.

Riiight. So a poster with post count < 10 (newbie) decides to post a car for sale used at near or higher than new price, we are forbidden from informing them. Censorship, plain and simple.

The cars from posters with post count > 1000 are almost always spot on priced. They get it.

Couldn't be more obvious that pandering to low post count folks who are getting rid of their car is a net negative for this site, that's just the way I see it.

Of course, opinions are worth what you pay for. Consider this my gift. ;-)
If someone came to a Tesla forum to sell their car, you judge them by post count? If you’re not looking for what they are selling, then pass it by, if you are but it’s priced high, make an offer or pass it by. There’s too many a$&holes that cruise marketplace forums with their only intent being trashing sellers and/or their item, or seeing if they can steal something way under value by shaming someone for their price. You only get that type behavior from cowards who wouldn’t ever do that in an “at arms length” negotiation.

Take that for what it’s worth as my very first post here.

Looking for guidance here before posting. I was thinking $44000 for a 2018 Model S 100D with FSD, Lifetime Connectivity. Pearl White on Black Carbon Fiber interior. MCU2, AP3, FSD Beta. 77000 Miles. Brand New wheels/tires 10k miles ago from Brand New Raven Model S. Pricing for a fast sale.
 
Looking for guidance here, buying a model 3 from a local person(CA), she had a lien which she paid off but it’s taking too long for the title to arrive. Allegedly, the lien holder (bank) has sent over the title release info to dmv but it’s only been 3 business days since they received the payoff amount from the seller. Can we go to the dmv without a title but a lien release doc and attempt to transfer the title?

Does the dmv have the capability to check in their system that the title is clear of any liens?

What’s the worst-case scenario?

Has anyone attempted this?

There are no trust issues between the buyer and seller.
 
Looking for guidance before I post. I am planning to sell my 2023 MYLR Blue Metallic and buy something smaller for daily commute. It has less than 1k miles. It is like new. What should I list it for?

Why is is this in the For Sale section?

It does directly and immediately affect used cars that are for sale. Not good for sellers, but good for buyers.

Model S LR is starting to be an interesting value as it tries to reach below the $80k tax-rebate limit

Not there yet, but if it did close the gap that'd be a lot of car for the money

Give it a couple weeks.
