Took 2017 MS in for service for Left Headlight staying on.
I was told I needed to replace the Body Control Module (BCM).
The part cost for BCM is $1075 and the labor is $228.
Not sure if that is high or not but I am also being charged $480 for General Diagnosis. Is this normal? I assume they are charging me to find out why the light is staying on? Is there a limit to this charge?
I am past my 4 year basic warranty
EDIT: I talked to the advisor and they charge $240 per hour for General Diagnosis. Mine was 2 hours. Sounds like there is no limit. Not sure if there is a minimum. Maybe if it is obvious like replace the 12v battery there would be not Diagnosis Fee? Anyway, at least this is my first our of pocket expense.
