Thought about buying TSLA but heard they have a horrible P/E ratio.

Lol, they don't have a P/E ratio. You have to have earnings to have a P/E ratio.

Not today they didn't. My TSLA position is down 8.5% since the beginning of the month. Hopefully just a short-term blip. We will see.

I bought TSLA when I bought my car over three years ago because I read this article and I didn't want to look back at my car as a lost opportunity -- so I bought shares too:

What If You Bought Tesla Stock Instead Of One Of Its Cars?

Note: The article is based on TSLA price as at Sept. 20, 2013. The amounts in the article would be even higher today:
2010 Tesla Roadster Base Model - 2010 MSRP: $109,000
Stock Value Today: $842,936
Profit: $733,936

2010 Tesla Roadster Sport - 2010 MSRP: $128,500

2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5 Sport - 2011 MSRP: $128,500

Thought about buying TSLA but heard they have a horrible P/E ratio

Agreed. I wouldn't buy them today. It was really bad when I bought too -- it might even be better today -- but still I bought for the reason above. P/E can also be deceptive if future growth looks really good.

Lol, they don't have a P/E ratio. You have to have earnings to have a P/E ratio.

Whatever...
