I do not understand the legal reasons, but the Georgia Tesla sales are being handled out of Florida and the Florida sales are being conducted by the Georgia Delivery team.
Georgia was capped at 150 cars by the Dealer Association.
A State audit discovered they had sold over 170 thus triggering this change. A similar situation exists in Florida.
Not sure how this affects financing and trade ins but I'm sure they will work it out. Maybe someone in a State where the laws are more draconian can chime in.
The whole thing prompted me to buy a TESLA: Legalize It T-Shirt.........so something fun will come out of it.
