OK folks, yes you can flights that are cheap in the US, in Germany it can be
very expense. In vacation time it can be like xmas or thanksgiven . So it really
does not matter, most folks with kids travel with cars. So now back to the main theme,
gas stations with plugs or not.

Pardon me - what?

Some of my flights this year:
Frankfurt - Tenerife, return, about 200 € (that's 4.5 hours each way)
Frankfurt - Berlin, return, with Lufthansa 210 € (cheaper than a regular train ticket 2nd class)
A colleague of mine took a flight from (Frankfurt) Hahn to Avignon and the coach fare from Frankfurt to Hahn (about 120 km) was higher than the ticket price for the flight to Avignon.

Prior to Corona flights were so dirt cheap that I really wondered how that was supposed to be viable as a business.

My new job is not reachable in my Leaf. My Tesla no issue round trip.
Many gas stations here have coffee bars so you may want to get a coffee
and charge. If you work there it would be handy as well. There are
a lot of cars coming out with small batteries.

Well we will agree to disagree on this. More plugs are a
good moral sign, and there is no ideal solution. The company
I work for has 100's of plugs in the US. When I asked for plugs
here they said "no soup for you". It just slows adoption.

Employee charging facilities just is a very different thing from setting up "on the go" public charging facilities. One where L2 makes a lot of sense more sense than at "gas stations", too.
