Getting cold feet... registering switch to brother-in-law

Hello,

I recently ordered a model 3 online. I only paid $250 but did NOT register nor have I done anything else yet.

My wife is getting cold feet however my brother-in-law is interested in taking the car. I understand that Tesla will not allow transferring "orders".... however if I register under my brother-in-law's name will the car be legally his and he can take it from there? Can anyone confirm this?

Reservation Transfer Technicalities

Hey all, Looking to possibly purchase/transfer a reservation from another user here. He is in California and I am in New York. Does anybody know if and how this is an option for us? Would I have to pay Tesla to transfer it? Would it lush the EDD back to Aug (its coming up now)? Any information...
