Recent discussions suggest Tesla is looking for a site for Gigafactory2 in Europe. Expected site selection sometime in 2017. Gigafactory2 will make batteries, energy storage products and cars. I expect this thread to start slow and pick up interest as we learn about the site and construction begins.

Wondered over to seeking alpha this morning to see what is being posted. Interesting speculation on why Portugal would be a good site for Gigafactory2 (http://seekingalpha.com/article/4034779-tesla-may-plan-one-expects). Cheap land, cheap labor, low taxes, highest production of lithium in Europe, etc. make strong arguments for Portugal.
