Knowing people who have/do work there, it’s pretty polarizing. If you don’t love it, you’ll hate it. If you don’t agree with your management that it’s a privelage to work there, you’ll loathe every day till you leave and make them happy.

There’s no question that if you want to be dropped into the cutting edge of the space industry, you work at spacex. You won’t make a ton of money, you’ll spend a lot of time at the office, and you’ll have to live in LA (or the PNW, which is significantly more tolerable)...but if you love what you do those things won’t matter.
