GlobalFoundries, the manufacturing partner for chip-maker AMD, has denied reports it’s working with Tesla on a chip designed for self-driving technology.
“Tesla has not committed to working with us on any autonomous driving technology or product,” a spokesperson told Reuters.
CNBC reported Wednesday that Tesla was testing a version of a chip created in partnership with AMD. The mix up reportedly occurred after a presentation that flagged companies like Google and Tesla as potential partners.
