GM working to have Android-based UI by 2016

    Saw this interesting bit of news today: GM is working with Harmon to implement an Android-based infotainment system for launch in their 2016 vehicles. They're working with Google to design the system, and will have a store to download/purchase additional apps. Note that it will be full Android, not Android Auto, so won't require a smartphone and will use the LTE modem already in GM's new vehicles.

    Sounds pretty similar to what Elon wanted to do with the Model S. Who will be first to market?
