Is it just me or did google maps get more legible? Also I notice commercial areas are a pale orange color. Is this new, or have I never noticed before??

Hmm. Mine are gone all together. They've been blank all day long.

....let me clarify. This change isn't because of a firmware update. The maps that are actively being downloaded are more legible with a cleaner font, and have a new pale orange color on commercial property.

Okay, let me clarify...I was just joking. I'll check later to see if I can see a difference.

Same here. No maps at all. This time traffic directions are offline as well (worked last month when we had a "tile" problem).

Recently, on I95 in New Haven, CT, the ramps changed from left hand lanes to right hand lanes over the new bridge over the harbor. Within one week the model S navigation system was aware of this change and was informing me to be in the left lanes for my navigation destination. prior to this it was telling you to be in the right lanes. So this means that the maps were updated on my car within the last few weeks without a notification.

Sure sounds like it. My last maps update came without a notification too.

Shouldn't the map tiles download constantly from Google unless cached in the system. Even the cached ones probably have an expiration

At night the minor roads are colored dark blue against a black background providing maybe 2% contrast! They're basically invisible. This was actually my first time using the map at night. Did it used to have a readable color scheme? Major roads are light green and show up well.
