The first production starts at $49k. Even if you do not add or change anything about it, you will pay more than the tax credit would give you, unless of course your state offers one as well (which still might not offset the additional cost). Mine does not. I would wait if you can. I need the new vehicle, and I also need the range so ordering now made sense for me. Also my tax credit will go towards paying off the car itself.
