How did they do for the chrome underneath/around the mirrors? They tried to vinyl wrap it but couldn't get it right and ended up doing plasti-dip for that section but I'm not too happy about the results and still looking for another option.

Did the wrap the top chrome bit that only shows when the mirror is folded? If you don't do that portion, it should be fine.

I like my mirrors folding in when parked and did not want any chrome showing ever. So yeah, they struggled with it until they finally told me the only option is plasti-dip for that area. it's a close match to the vinyl but not close enough for me.

I see. Our guy had done a few and said the wrap doesn't hold up well and causes folding issues if that spot is done. It's fine without, but don't leave them folded. If you do, it's not a great look to have that chrome bit always showing.

Looking REALLY good! I have considered this, but like some here, finding a shop is harder than I thought!

Looks great! I have the same color and did the blackout also. My guy was great. Anyone need a guy in Phoenix AZ, call Kyle at [email protected] 602.653.3935. He did mine and does real good work. Looks way better than chrome and I'm not usually a blacked out kind of guy.

How much did it cost and what kind of shop did you take it to to do the work?

I want to get the chrome around my side windows wrapped but don't know where to start or how much to expect to pay (LA area).

Looks awesome! I got mine done as well a couple days after delivery, but have yet to get around to doing mirrors. Wrapping was also an issue, might have to bite the bullet and go with the plasti-dip route...

I was planning on just leaving the chrome part that the mirror is attached to, chrome. I didn't think it would look bad. I also probably wouldn't bother with the chrome on the liftgate. Definitely want to black out the window trim, handles, and mustache. And do the wheels dark grey. I don't really like black wheels. I think they look better with a little contrast. Not sure about the strip under the doors. Probably just leave it chrome too. I don't see why it has to be all or nothing.

The two places I know of are:
    503 Motoring
    PDXWraps | Northwest Wrap Specialists
I've used 503 motoring for paint protection and window tint and they are very good but very expensive for chrome blackout. PDX wraps is more reasonable for chrome blackout. RPMtesla has all of the pieces to do it yourself except for the windows and mirrors.

I agree, Tesla should offer a blacked out option....Looks Good!

I plastic-dipped my front...Two months later, still holding up.
