GPS doesn't know the way

I've reported this here before but can't find the post or responses.

I am using my old Garmin GPS because it works better and it is easier to read.

When I entered the address "300 Fir Street San Diego CA", the GPS directed me way out of the way. It actually took me over the Coronado Bay Bridge to Coronado Island.

The GPS was also unable to find an address on Health Center Drive. Instead, it kept directing me in circles in my home neighborhood.

The GPS cannot even find my home address.

The above problems exist even with the latest software update. Fortunately my olde Garmin GPS can find all those addresses. In addition, it is much easier to read than the Tesla touch screen, partly because it can be mounted in a better position. It would seem reasonable to expect the GPS on a rather expensive car to work at least as well as a Garmin GPS, but it does not.

I have reported the problems via telephone to Tesla but there has been no response. Reporting the problems via touch screen is not an option. The touch screen is in an awkward position to read and make entries.

A further problem: There is no way on this website to find posts quickly. For example, I cannot do a search on "GPS" to find posts on the subject. Having a search function like that would be exceedingly helpful.

Click the little magnifying glass at the top right of the screen, type "GPS" in the top line, and check (or uncheck) the "search this forum only" as you feel is appropriate

(your other post on this topic is here: GPS problems have me using my Garmin GPS.)
