I would like to turn down (or off) the GPS volume. Sometimes I just need the map; other times I like the voice directions, just not so loud.
Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Look for a speaker in the box that has the step by step directions after you already have the destination set. This will let you mute the GPS directions. It may also let you change the volume but I don't recall offhand.

If you change volume via the steering wheel controls (and perhaps the on-screen controls as well) while the GPS voice is speaking it should affect the GPS volume and not the overall stereo/music volume.

    From the manual:

During navigation, the instrument panel also
displays the turn-by-turn directions and you
will hear spoken instructions. To change the
volume of the spoken instructions use the
scroll wheel on the left side of the steering
wheel when the navigation instructions are
being spoken. You can also touch the volume
button located on the turn-by-turn direction
    list displayed on the touchscreen.
