Ordered a Model S Long Range 11/29 @ Lawrence location. They mentioned I had taken 1 of 10 spots available at the time for build and delivery in December. No VIN has been published yet. Hoping to get it before christmas, but not keeping my hopes up.

I am. She seems to be the only game in town. You are in Windsor and I am in Ottawa
and she is covering both of us.
Not expecting much, it is a pretty low bar .

Low bar indeed. The lack of communication is so frustrating. I wish they'd activate my app so I could at least see where my car is. Right now I have no idea if it's on a train, on a truck, or just sitting in a lot somewhere near Toronto and the only reason I don't have it is because someone is too lazy to do their job. Not knowing the facts leads my active imagination to think the worst.

im dealing with mark from yorkdale, hes been amazing so far. everytime i call he answers.

Is he your delivery specialist or sales associate? My SA has been excellent at getting back to me. In fact, the only time I ever heard from my DS is when I mentioned to my SA that I hadn't heard anything (she was supposed to be in touch by the end-of-day two days prior). A half hour later I got an introduction email from the SA and she's been a ghost ever since.

I was contacted by a delivery specialist after receiving a text telling me my delivery appointment was for the 13th in Oakville. I was told from the beginning that I could get home delivery since I live in Windsor. So I contacted my SA and he confirmed that I could get home delivery and said a delivery specialist would be in touch later that day. Two days later I get an email from Samira and haven't heard boo since.

The sad truth is I have no idea what's going on because I can't get a response.

I got a text from Tesla on November 30th (Saturday) telling me my delivery appointment was for 3:30pm on December 13th in Oakville. On the following Monday I reached out to my SA asking about what happened to the home delivery. He responded the next day saying he'd look into it. He got back to me shortly after saying that I would indeed get home delivery and that I'd be contacted by Samira by the end of the day. Two days later I hadn't heard anything so I sent my SA an email - half hour later I get the one and only email from Samira. I responded to her email with answers to her questions immediately. A short time after that my account page showed the same delivery date/time but with my home address as the location (progress). Some time after that it all went away and is now back to the 5-9 weeks from order (major setback).

I'm ready to wire the money and get this over with asap, and I've indicated as much to Tesla. Yet here I sit in the dark. Are they planning to finalize things and ship my car out on Friday? Has something happened that will push things back? Who knows?

Did you get an email from her asking you to sign the contract and send the funds?
i initially had my account say pick up in Montreal, and when I questioned my SA about that , he said , no you are out of province, you have to have home delivery. That is when I got the 2 emails from Samira, asking me to confirm details and send payment . That was done and now
my home address is set as delivery location and the date given as Saturday 14th.
She did say in the email that the carrier would be contacted only after payment received and at that point they are at “the mercy of the carrier”
I guess I will know more as the week progresses .

She did the same to me, went silent for 3 days and then finally answered my call last thursday at about 5;15 pm, informed me my delivery would be the next day. Car was delivered the next morning . Less then 15 hours notice, although in previous weeks she had indicated early Dec delivery.
Communication is not her strong point for sure, i let her know as much when she asked for me to call her after I took delivery so she could send me email confirming delivery in order to activate my phone app. I told her I wasnt convinced she would answer me from my previous attempts to contact her. LOL She answered
The Tesla delivery experience was not my favorite, from waiting anxiety , to the lack of communicatio, people not having a clue what one advisor says and others who have no idea what your talking about. Luckily the car makes up for it, but not the experience you see from most youtube videos we all watch.

Hey have you heard back from them. I am from Windsor as well, I got an delivery appointment scheduled for Dec 21 in Oakville. I did request for home delivery too in the beginning, tried to contact Tesla for days and did not get any call back or response. Manage to call the 877# and the guy told that I don’t qualify for home delivery as it have to be more than 360km and Windsor to Oakville is 340km which did not qualify for home. This is very frustrating.

No, the email I got from her just wanted to confirm my address, that I'll be getting green plates, not doing a trade-in, etc. Said the next step would be her emailing me the contract so I could arrange payment. I responded immediately and mentioned that I'm all set to make the wire transfer any time. Never heard back.
