Green algae under edge of rear light clusters.

I live in Ireland where we have mild weather with a relatively high humidity. I drive a model S and find that there is a green algae/ mould now present under the clear plastic edge of the rear light clusters. It is just on the underside of the edges of the plastic light unit and the metal body panel. It looks unsightly and I wondered (a) how to remove it and (b) how to prevent it.
Has anyone else experienced this problem ?

Move to California? Just kidding, you can use a mold/mildew remover and a fine toothbrush to get rid of it.

I have the same problem as the original poster. How do you use spray or a fine toothbrush when the mold is inside the lights (i.e. behind the glass)? Any other suggestions from other owners?

Just to bump the thread, I'm in Ireland too and have the exact same issue. The only solution I can see is to loosen the clusters enough to get in with a small pipe cleaner or toothbrush?
