French Le Mans team Courage is joining forces with technology firm MATIS to build an LMP2 car for 2011 powered by twin motors producing ~400bhp (800bhp peak). Top speed will be 315km/h or just under 200mph. The battery will last 30 minutes and will be swappable. 5 packs will be in use during the race. Can't see much online in English about this, so here are the French links: YVES COURAGE PRÉSENTE SON PROJET ÉLECTRIQUE, LA M0.11! Green GT have an upgraded version of their LMP2-style racer. Looking good! The original drivetrain was used by Citroën to underpin their Survolt concept. Having Jean Todt at the unveiling ceremony might mean we see this make some appearances this summer at a certain high-profile racing series. Also, the battery safety upgrades are explicitly meant to allow it to receive FIA blessing, if not certification of some sort.
