Green paint, black interior...?

I'm looking to purchase a used Model S, and I have my heart set on green. All the ones I've found seem to have tan interiors, and I'd much prefer black. Did they ever make them green on black from the factory?

Am I crazy to think it would be easy to replace the interior and ceiling with black?

They did if people ordered that color combo.

Replacing the interior would be more trouble and cost than it’s worth. You have to do all the pillars, headliners, door panels, seats, glovebox, etc...

Yeah, buy a black car with black interior, then repaint exterior. Will cost about $10,000. We paid $12,000 on our first Model S to make it brown.

There are 3 green with black interior Model S's showing on ev-cpo.com right now, including a P85D. Only the P85D has a black headliner, as the earlier models had white headliner regardless of seat color. BTW, I love my green P-85+ with grey interior - classiest combo!

Wrap would be cheaper

Yup. Either a vinyl wrap or an Autoflex dip would run between $2k and $3k and would allow you to get the exact green you want (or the Tesla Green). If you get a black Model S, and do a dark green, you won't even notice the darker door jams.

They're also both reversible.

They do exist! I have a green 2014 with black interior. (Although it does still have the tan headliner.)
