Quick update. Cancelled my order for titans bc 18” sizes no longer in stock and got Fast Wheels FC04s ordered from Canada for about $850 including shipping. 19.3lbs 18x8. Will scratch my itch while waiting for Tesla referral rims.

Where did you order from?
Does 18x8 with stock tires does wheel protrude out of tires?
Getting better efficiency?
18x8 rated for Tesla weight?

Canadawheels.ca. They were super friendly and knowledgeable. I’m working with Hong at 1-800-453-4484 ext. 33.

I’m not sure if it would protrude from the rim. They won’t protrude out of wheel well. But even if they did protrude slightly from the rim (I suspect they do slightly) that could be desirable to prevent curb rash. A mod over at M3OC got his wheels fitted with manufacturer and they helped set him up with 245/45R18s, which are a little wider for seemingly this reason plus performance: Yolandi: garsh's Performance Model 3

I haven’t gotten the wheels yet from the great north. It’s a 2-3 week process. Bought the wheels for 650 USD and waiting for them to ship to Hong at Candawheels headquarters so he can invoice me for the shipping to VA. I can keep this thread up to date

But also, I do have a little buyers remorse because I have two perfectly good sets of OEM 20 wheels and 2 full sets of P4Ss. If I did things over again I would have waited for some aero options. Fast wheels put out a survey monkey for their upcoming aero wheel design due probably this fall. If you can drive carefully until then maybe you can save a few bucks and increase performance and efficiency.

Updates on Evasive's stock (for the next 3 to 4 months) as of March 9, 2019:

12 satin titanium 19x8.5 (in stock)
1 black 19x9.5 (on the way, available for sale)
15 satin titanium 19x9.5 (on the way, available for sale)

No other colors in the above sizes.

18x8.5 out of stock, meaning will take 3-4 months to get more made
19x9 out of stock, meaning will take 3-4 months to get more made

If anyone wants to part with their 18x8.5s, please let me know. Otherwise I am having a hard time debating if I want to outright cancel or settle for 19x8.5. My goal is to run the lightest weight forged wheel in 18 I can find that clears my performance brakes and lets me use an acoustic PS4S tire.

I also want he 18x 8.5”
I ended up going with 18x8 wheels like in this post: 18" Turbines

I think I'll circle back around for racing size wheels (19x9.5) when I've saved more money since I don't want to take the range hit on a daily basis.

For the FC04s from Candawheels.ca, it was $650 for rims, $150 for shipping from Ottawa to Virginia. $57 in duties. It took about two weeks from ordering to get to where I'm at today.

Trackspec Autosports installed my 18” Titan 7’s today! They modified the OEM 18” Aero center caps to fit the larger opening on the T-S5’s. I am extremely particular about who touches my cars. This team typically works on Lotus, Porsche, and BMW and took extremely good care of my Model 3 Performance.

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the upgrade. The Titans replaced 20” OEM Performance wheels with OEM tires. The 18” Pilot Sport 4 is a lot quieter and is more supple over road imperfections. There is a bit less steering precision with the smaller diameter wheels and taller tires. However, the tires are brand new compared to the previous tires which had over 7k miles on them. The new Michelins should respond better once worn in.

The weight reduction is about 9 pounds per corner given brand new Tesla-spec Michelins on both wheels. The difference was measured at 8.3 pounds, but the old set was already partially worn.

So I got my 18x8.5 +35 mounted on saturday. I had ordered some ps4s 245/45 but someone else had ordered some mich as3+ in 245/45 and they apparently mounted my ps4s on the other persons vehicle. So I'm driving around on the as3 until some new ps4s come in and they'll swap them over for free. Also they're going to order some shorter lug nuts and black balance weights for next time. So I'll get some better quality pictures when I get the final setup mounted. In the meanwhile I figured a couple pictures were better than nothing: https://photos.app.goo.gl/xPmj3W1ZQ5JUvCgM6

Super happy with how the wheels turned out, was having some doubts and was thinking I should've gotten 19 but they look great and 18 was definitely the right choice for me.
Looks great! Do you have any side pictures showing the whole car?

FedEx split the shipment for my tires and only two arrived last Friday. Drove up to LA to get them but got the call 90% of the way up about the shipping delay.

So I'll try again in another two weeks when I get another Friday off.

Had the car all washed and coated too! What's with people in LA spraying their wipers in the carpool lane blasting my clean car with dirty water. Twice in a row even! What a Jerk move.

The 19x9 TS5s do look more concave than the 18x8~ for sure, really curious how the 19x9 compare to the 19x9.5 if anyone has received the latter or has pictures of the actual 9.5 wheel (Evasives website are the same pic regardless of diameter/width.

As an FYI. Mine at at 18X8 39. So pic might explain lack of concave. I think now they are at +35. Also. In stop and go I have been avg. 180s. Mid 200's for highway speed. Have about 1800 miles on them now. So little to no penalty. Again 18's. Still in cold weather here, but now stock rubber back on.

Thanks for the info... they still look great just a big difference in face depth and yes the 18x8 would explain it it.

My set of techno bronze 19x9s are still sealed in the boxes waiting for better weather. Originally wanted 19x9.5 but was told from day 1 by Mike they hey were off the table. I know things change, but ironic waiting 6 months for the 19x9s to arrive... then less than a month later the 19x9.5s are on Evasives site lol.

I knew the 19x9 wouldn't be super concave but they are flatter than I thought they would be. Anyway that's why I'm curious to see pics of the 19x9.5 so I know how much of a difference another .5" (.or really .25" on one side of the wheel) makes.

That looks GREAT! Stock height?
Yes, for now at least. I'm not really wanting to go lower due to the roads around here, and some steep driveways. I wouldn't mind some better shocks.

Road noise is increased using the non foam version of the PS4S, but it's not unbearable or anything. The wheel base is a little wider now with the wider rims and added offset, it felt like it was on rails before but it especially feels that way now.

While the wheels and tires are lighter than the stock 18's, so far it looks like I am taking a range hit. But it's a bit early to tell. My efficiency on the way home was over 320, but I was lugging the stock rims, about 17 Large heavy Bruery bottles, and a passenger on my way back from Evasive. Lifetime average before the wheel swap was 261.

I'm not sure if I will use my stock wheels or not, I might throw them on with the aero covers for read trips, but they will be useless if/when I upgrade the brakes. I did put a set of pre-programmed TPMS sensors in back in the Aero wheels. They are taking up allot of space...Wife wants me to get rid of them. I have 8 ATV tire/wheels(2 ATVs), and 4 XP1000 tire/wheels, and now a spare set of model 3 tire/wheels too yikes!
