Well that’s the reason for the Group buy. I am trying to score us a good discount.

I agree that 1k is ridiculous. 1/2 of that and I might be interested too, although I would be concerned how it would fare in the winter in the Northeast.. The handles now occasionally get frozen into place and need a hard press to get them to pop out. With a motorized mechanism and a frost, the mechanism might quickly burn out.

Wondering if it’d ever be possible to have a mode for the same self presenting door opening feature like on Model X when you just tap/press the handle in a little, and the door slowly opens up...?

What if for some reason the window is actually up and the door closes onto the frame. I doubt this company would actually replace the window replacement + door frame + time etc... Just my $.02

How about a group buy for the handles alone without soft closing doors? Handles alone is $500 on their site.
