Gwynne Shotwell did a TED talk in Vancouver today. Here is an article about what she said. I'll post the whole thing when it finally shows up on YouTube. SpaceX’s president says we’ll be able to take a rocket to Shanghai — or Mars — ‘within a decade’ Here's a video with some of the details:
I searched for her talk in the TED app on my iPad but it’s not there yet. Anxious to hear what she had to say.
Thanks for that link. I always enjoy hearing her make a presentation even if I already know the content she is presenting. This talk is a good basic presentation on SpaceX and what the future will be like.
Nice article. There are lots of videos that ran throughout the day. Here are more: investment in SpaceX: Production:
New article about Gywnne, good read, see Terms of Service Violation (that’s not the title of the article! It’s the HTML title tag, so a Bloomberg.com screwup). The URL is without the https:// is bloomberg.com/news/features/2018-07-26/she-launches-spaceships-sells-rockets-and-deals-with-elon-musk
Saw that article this am and meant to post it here but got distracted. Agree that it was a good read. Does she have a twin, and if so can we get one for Tesla? Please?
You gotta love her. SpaceX president: ‘You don’t learn anything from success,' but you learn from your failures Gwynne Shotwell
ULA just got its first commercial launch in many years. Here is Gwynne's response to a question about that: Jeff Foust on Twitter
Shotwell: decline in GEO business is not a “crushing blow” for us. Seeing strong growth in DOD business, but also later with commercial crew: “7 billion potential payloads” ——————————————————————- Gwynne has a wicked sense of humor.
Serious point: Day 1: SpaceX announces date for first passenger intercontinental ballistic flights. Later, Day 1: Companies announce SpaceX flights as competition prizes.
A decent transcript of the questions asked to Gwynne is found here: September 10th Gwynne Shotwell Q&A Session - 45min : spacex
Thanks for posting that. Some great comments from Gywnne. I love the way she answers questions, injecting shots of humor into the discussion!
