Hack UMC to get 48 amps?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to remove the 48A charger and have a 72A charger installed instead. That said, it may depend on the particular service centre, and they may charge a fortune to do it.

The website says it's not an available option after delivery:

Neither are fog lights, but I had them retrofitted, others have had parking sensors done, some have upgraded from 60-85 kwh after delivery, it all depends on the service centre and your tolerance for cost.

Perhaps, but none of those upgrades specifically said they were not available after delivery. I'm also not aware of parking sensors being done at the service centers. I thought that was an after market upgrade. Fog lights are easy and the battery upgrade is always an option, albeit costly when going from 60 to 85.
