I had full front (sort of 99%) PPF installed on my brand new August 2021 Model Y. PPF was the lower cost pre-cuts that cover as much as possible without having to tuck in ends or remove panels and parts. What are the chances that a rock will hit precisely between panel seams? right? Just found a 2-3 mil rock chip where the PPF seam ends from the front right headlight coming from the quarter panel to the bumper on the front today. WTF... I am going to have to apply touch up because the quarter panel is steel and my winters are very salty. Maybe a few hundred dollars worth of labor to have 100% exposed panel surfaces PPF'd after all would of been a better investment.
