Hello. bought some summer 19's for my Tesla 3 DM, Now to put tires on.

These are the two options Ive been looking at: HankookVENTUS S1 EVO3 - SIZE: 235/40R19 or Michelin PILOT SPORT 4S - SIZE: 235/40ZR19

Hear lot of good things about the Michelin's. the 19's dont have the foam for quieter ride. If they did, I'd go with the Michelin's

I was given an option of the Hankook's above and they do have the foam tech and seems to be good option as well.

Has anyone used both and have feedback on which they preferred? Im looking for good handling, comfort and quiet overall. Not going to track this, or any real high spirited driving but just want some good summer tires. I'll put the stock Rims and stock tires back on for winter this fall. Live in Milwaukee WI midwest area.

Let me know thoughts.

I love the Hankooks and they are very efficient tires. In regards to spirited driving I haven't compared the two but the cost difference is substantial between hankook and michelin. I'm sure you'll be satisfied. The hankooks are very quiet.

Thanks for the reply. I actually bought them and will be putting them on my new rims. I’ll send pics. Very excited. I will also update my experience so others can help decide which to go. I’m sure I would of been happy with the pilot sport 4s and road noise isn’t that big to me but I’m sure I would notice it.

I had my 3 in for warranty work and they gave me a loaner model 3. The one real difference I noticed was tire noise. So it kind of stuck out to me more when going to buy tires

Side note. Mine has the white interior and the loaner had black. And after getting mine back I wss soooooooo grateful for the white. To me. Hands down no comparison is style and look.

I just ordered the Hankook's too. Hoping the crappy Continentals are the cause of my steering vibration after 4 trips to Tesla with no fix. I too had to decide between the 19's between the Hankook's and the PS4's. I went with the Hankook's for the same reasons with the 19's and they are now Tesla's OEM summer tire.

I'll post up some pic's when I get them on. Going to paint Calipers either Red or Green like my profile shirt lol. I have a Grey M3 so really leaning towards the Green. Think it will look sharp once done.

Yeah should look great, I’m excited to see it and hear your impression of the tires. I’ve had a vibration in my steering wheel since 2000 miles and it’s been to Tesla 5 times without a fix. I really hope it’s the tires, until I fix it, I’ve been holding off on any mods.

I have the Ventus EVO3 on my Porsche and the Sport 4S on the Tesla... both are excellent tires, but I prefer the EVO3 for performance.

BTW, Halibrand was the original wheel on the 427 Shelby Cobra.

She drives great. Although only drove it home from shop basically so far so Havnt really tested new wheels out yet.

I"ll let you know when I can get it on the road more. so far I didnt even notice any road noise lol. I had the seat down and old wheels in back so it was little noisier because of open to the trunk but I didnt notice any more tire noise at all. I got it all closed up as normal so when I take it out tomorrow I'll let you know.

Final look. Thoughts? I’m super happy with it. I will say darker wheels probably would of made the Green pop more. But I went with chrome since the handles and everything else was chrome. Still super happy with it. And she’s set how I like it. I had it done at a local shop in Milwaukee WI so if anyone else is thinking of getting their Calipers painted in the area. Very reasonable and great to work with DM me and I can get you their info.

I'm looking a 4 Hankook ventus ion evo AS.

No notice difference in noise for me. Love them. I havnt noticed any difference in range really. I love the tires.
