I ordered the power trunk lift w/o foot sensor for my 2020 LR model 3. Go for it and contact them it wouldn't hurt to ask to see the status. I was surprised to receive it so quick because they did include a notice that it might not ship until mid december.Wow really, I should contact them to confirm since I order the trunk and frunk of 2018 model 3.
What did you order?
Why is that?I’m surprised they’re still selling trunk kits.
Not only do they still sell the trunk kits for the cars that didn't come with the factory power trunk, but as recent as 2 months ago they released a firmware update to improve functionality for Tesla's introduction of carwash mode.I’m surprised they’re still selling trunk kits.

Any ideas what the update does in regards to car wash mode? Not only do they still sell the trunk kits for the cars that didn't come with the factory power trunk, but as recent as 2 months ago they released a firmware update to improve functionality for Tesla's introduction of carwash mode.

Exactly what @Durzel said. The problem with the foot sensor is that it could be triggered by things like moving streams of water which would not be great in a carwash. Prior to Tesla's implementation of carwash mode EV Offer managed this issue by releasing a firmware update for their trunk kit to deactivate the foot sensor by turning on the hazard lights. This worked quite well for when I washed the car. After Tesla implemented the 'carwash mode' EV Offer probably could have left their firmware as is with foot sensor deactivation using hazard lights. Instead they updated their firmware to deactivate the foot sensor whenever the car was put into carwash mode. Much more elegant solution and it's great to see a company consistently improving their product this way.Any ideas what the update does in regards to car wash mode?
On a related note has anyone here had the OEM trunk wiring harness recall issue fixed with their Hannshow/ EV Offer auto trunk?
IMHO, it's unneeded. These draw very little power compared to other native options like Sentry or cabin climate control.I've considered putting a 12V UPS (https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Backup-Uninterruptible-Security-10000mAh/) in-line with the power for the trunk and/or frunk kit. I guess the real question is how much power do the frunk/trunk kits use - in operation and while idle.
Your link doesn't seem to work.I've considered putting a 12V UPS (https://www.amazon.com/Battery-Backup-Uninterruptible-Security-10000mAh/) in-line with the power for the trunk and/or frunk kit. I guess the real question is how much power do the frunk/trunk kits use - in operation and while idle.
Ooops. Lets try that again.Your link doesn't seem to work.
Can you put a picture of it and the output voltage, battery capacity...
This seems in fact a good backup product for router in case of an outage.
