hard-wiring of radar detectors in autopilot cars information thread

Let's get some information posted here on hard wiring radar detectors of any type on AUTOPILOT cars, specifically using the rearview mirror wires.

Please don't turn this into a this or that detector discussion, or discussion of whether they work or not. We just need a reference for different hardwiring solutions and how-to's.

Radar detector placements and autopilot car.

Known to me:
autopilot lower grill sensors mp act placement of remote radar etc.

not known:

Windshield 'aperture' occupied by triangular mirror autopilot camera.

Is is there anywhere now to place a windshield mount radar detector and have Reception? While the escort multi thousand dollar install seems like overkill for my driving habits as the exact situations when I would drive way beyond speed limits are the situations where I will be range sensitive.
