I play a nice person on twitter.
My top rqmt for a chair to bring along was that it had to be comfortable. Learning how to sit in it only took one lesson (the same one you had).
For the rest of you with chair anxiety (good term, Tempus!), it's like learning to ride a bike. Once you get it, you wonder why you thought it was difficult or unstable. And it doesn't take up much room, in fact, it fits fine between the seats or tucked between a seat and the sidewall. (But that's where I keep my spare water bottles ... )
