Harris Ranch Superchargers and Supercharging Software Update

Stopped at Harris Ranch for a charge and was thrilled to report that the new superchargers are installed and ready to go. That's the good news. The bad news is PG&E will not do the connection for at least two weeks. I was told that PG&E has known about this for months. If anyone has grease at that utility, use it to get this great addition operational.

Is the old one operational though?

Thanks for the update. Too bad they are dependent on Edison, what happened to Solar City and solar panels?

I was going to stop at Harris Ranch with my Roadster - does anyone know if the MS adapter is readily removeable from the Roadster connector? Also, someone mentioned that using the MS Adapter was really slow - was it 70/240?

Call Tesla to confirm, but when I was there about a month ago it was removable.

Interesting that the new setup at Harris has two bays that are on the curb rather than in position for the back plug on the Model S. A hint of something to come or a site restriction?

Maybe a site restriction, but looking at the photo it seems that the two on the curb are too close together to allow two cars to park nose to tail and have both cars charging. I must be wrong though. They would not do that!!

It does look like they messed up. Hard to believe though.

Those are the newer u-shaped stations with the longer cable, so that seems very plausible to me. The one on the near end of the picture seems to me to be closer to where the driver-side would be when backed in rather than centered in the spot.

Yeah, not sure why they built the towers like that, but I'm sure the cables would be long enough for parking at 90 deg.

I think Eric vfx meant the visual representations (for the chargers) themselves need to be rotated within their position, in that graphic. Which was my thought as well.

EDIT: Unless the black lines represent the cables connecting the charger to the car, and not the charger itself. Which would mean images for the chargers are missing.
