Has anybody removed front plate and then added after film...

I am getting my refresh front done in a couple weeks and I want to remove the plate but add it after. I don't think the plate detracts from the car and I don't want the extra attention. Has anybody put the plate back and what did they use instead of the glue? How did you align the glued part etc. thanks

Any recommendation on double sided tape to use in place of the adhesive once the film is on the car. I am getting scotchguard pro installed by the way

I used a 3M trim tape product and it has held well.

I replaced the weird security screws with stainless Phillips head equivalents but one nut is either stripped or out of place because only one screw will thread now. I'm not too worried - the tape is doing almost all the work anyway.

Thanks it's what I'm doing I have the new screws already metric 6 about 20mm long
