Has anyone changed their order before?

    Hi everyone, I just ordered my Model 3 two days ago. I realized I screwed up and I want to get red instead of black. Has anyone managed to change their order?

    Hi BrianZ, congrats on placing your order. Until your VIN is assigned you can make changes to the order. But I would do it right away. On your Tesla account page, there is edit option under the manage tab. You can go ahead and change color to red and any other changes you might like. Hope this helps.

    I had big problems changing order. If you are with in first seven days you should be able to. After that a change order will cost $500.

    You are right, there is a change fee of 500, but that doesn’t apply for first week or so. Just to be on safe side, call Tesla and update it over the phone.

    I configured 5/1 and changed my car color from midnight silver to white 5/21. No charge, no delay, my delivery date is 6/19. Seems there was no issue making a change.

    I added Full Self Driving to my car a couple weeks after placing my order. The rep mentioned a change fee and I said that I had heard that it was often waived. He spoke to his manager and the fee was waived.

    Thanks! But unfortunately I don't see that on my Tesla account page. I feel like my account is buggy. I never received my invite to configure either. I found out I can configure by accident from checking the status page.

    Anyways I called on Saturday, but they said the department that handles change isn't open in the weekends. I'm gonna call on Monday. Hopefully I can get that changed!
