Has anyone Plasti dipped the 18" wheels under the aero covers?

Looking to Plasti dip the stock 18" wheels black. Wondering if I put the aero covers on for a longer trip, would it ruin the plasti dip on the rims when I take the covers back off?

It almost certainly would, as the coating is very soft when compared to the factory paint.

I Superwrapped/Plasticdipped my wheels... I believe they would get scratched up if you put the aero covers on, maybe after a couple weeks of hardening it would be better?

Just try one wheel first ! haha..

i wouldn't put the aero wheels back on. It will for sure take part of the plasti dip off. I;ve had this on for a month and a1/2 now. I'm really pleased with the results. Also decided to do the trim, handles and emblems.
