Has anyone replaced a 19” sport rim?

Curious the cost of a new rim? I’m getting quotes to repair curb rash and it almost seems it may be better to buy a new rim?

$250 to repair the curb rash!?

Replaced 20' performance rims with 18' Tspotrline which clears the P3D brake rotors. Definitely the best option to go with for winter weather and good MPGe. Only downside of getting after market rims is Tesla will not service rims if you come across a flat tire and if you need roadside assitance to put loander tire on.

I got into an accident last summer and one rim needed to be replaced. The body shops estimate shows $330 for the 19” sports rim. Not sure if it’s the same if you buy direct from Tesla. Might be able to find a better deal off eBay.

I bought a wheel on eBay for $230 and put it on and had the one with curb rash repaired for $135. I keep the extra wheel for the next time the curb jumps out and attacks the wheels. Check Yelp in your area for a wheel repair service, they typically can make the wheel good as new.

250 for curb rash repair is highway robbery. Get more quotes for repair. It's an easy paint to match. I am pretty sure it's the same as GM's Metallic Silver that they sell in the parts stores.
