Can I get first-person feedback from anyone that is/was at the event, or any definitive pictures one way or the other?

I was going over some videos from the event, it's a liftback just like the Model S. Which is perfect.
I dunno about that. Elon says the glass is one solid piece back there. It does seem likely it will open like an S.I was going over some videos from the event, it's a liftback just like the Model S. Which is perfect.

It looks like the whole piece of rear glass will lift up with the metal back and sides all the way above the rear doors. A variation on the model S hatchback.I dunno about that. Elon says the glass is one solid piece back there. It does seem likely it will open like an S.

Tesla Model 3 unveiled, deliveries begin late 2017 (pictures) - Roadshow
It looks like they're just not ready to show it yet. I was kind of surprised when Musk walked off stage without opening anything.Still don't see any with the hatch/trunk open.
Yeah, I edited it afterwards since looking through, it isn't obvious from the trunk lines whether it is a hatch or a notch. Sorry about that.Still don't see any with the hatch/trunk open.

The rear opening was the only thing that concerned me about the reveal. The press kit pictures seem to indicate that the rear opening will hinge at the C pillars, but the glass extends past the C pillars, so I'm having trouble imagining how it will open. Will the metal part open while the glass stays fixed? If so that will compromise cargo loading.
What would normally be the trunk lid will lift with the glass and a metal frame underneath the glass that connects to what would be the trunk lid. So the complete piece hinges at the top and the metal trunk lid peace and what's underneath the glass and the glass all in one piece. Like most hatchbacks but you just don't see metal all the way around the glass from the outside.Pic for reference

I think so but way nicer with no Metal at the top of the glass from the outside. And the base metal trunk lid being wider like an inverted T shape to the whole hatch that will swing up.So kinda sorta like the BMW 5-Series GT, except bigger, right?
