Another Easter egg!? Elon Musk on Twitter:Another Easter Egg will be hidden in the Model S code in 2015. Last one took a year to find. Next one should be easier.
Theres been some past and recent discussion in the Hawaii forum on the topic of auto insurance providers, rates, general questions, etc., so here's a dedicated thread to make it easier to find this information going forward.
I was under AIG for all of these years, but then they got bought out by Farmers. When I got the S, Farmers said they wouldn't cover me because the car was unknown and too expensive, but referred me to their sister company Progressive. The rates were still pretty low IMO (same as my 3 series BMW previously) and hasn't gone up in the two years I've been with them. I've got a clean and incident free history thus far from AIG>Farmers>Progressive though so ymmv.
Looks like no one posted here for a while lol. We have our homeowners insurance and my husband’s Model X covered with Statefarm. We got a 3 for me, and it’s too expensive to stay with them. Anyone got recommendations?

I use progressive. $2300/year for 2021 MS Plaid and 2023 Model X. We have homeowners with Statefarm and their quote for both cars was really high so they said to stay with progressive. lol
Let's hope the CT is not outrageous. Perhaps Tesla Insurance will be available in Hawaii soon to add a layer of competition to the local insurance marketplace.
