I cannot find the estimated horsepower for this model 4.5s (not performance)?
Just placed my order Oct 26 for Model 3 LR AWD premium white/white 19" here in Maui. Delivery is listed as Dec '18...
I did not drive one before, and I cannot find the estimated horsepower for this model 4.5s (not performance)?
Any of you have comments with Roof Sunshade front and rear accessories?
Aloha!
Thanks for your comment, I am leaving in Kihei as well. Having both car I am assuming you have the Tesla connector, who did the installation in Kihei? Thx@9114s, Welcome to the club! I'm also on Maui (have a Model 3 LR RWD and a Model S). I can't speak to the horsepower, because Tesla doesn't officially advertise that for the Model 3 (although some other owners have dyno'd theirs and published the numbers on the Forum). However, I can say that I personally don't think the roof sunshade is necessary. I did get the entire car tinted, but even before the tinting, the roof wasn't the biggest contributor to cabin heating - the windshield and side windows were.

When we moved here 18months ago from the CA bay area , I sold my bmw I3 and fiat 500e because we moved in a condo as well...I wish. Nope, we live on a 2nd floor condo, and I have one of the more unique methods of charging. I created a post a few years ago documenting it, but, in short, I use a NEMA 14-50 plug on our Lanai with a 50 foot (40 lb) extension cord that makes it to a parking spot that I can charge in (not my personal spot, but a neighbor's who is understanding). I had an electrician friend on the island install my outlet and build my extension cord, but he moved off-island several months back. Sorry, but I don't have anyone to recommend for what you need. However, for tinting, I recommend Maui Glass Tinting Specialists in Kahului 808-871-0771. They tinted both my S and 3. They have a lot of experience tinting Tesla vehicles.
I’m interested in what you all do when you need service, do they fix mostly with a ranger and then for more involved issues ship you car to the Oahu service center.
Aloha Akikiki, the car is not here yet.. a long way to Maui still. Production is finally up and lot of people got cars delivered in 2 weeks of less in the bay area. But yes so far I feel lucky. Mahalo.9114s, That's great news for you. Congratulations. Very pleased for you.
That was an Oct 26 order that's ready to ship from CA now? Three weeks? WOW. You are very lucky or know someone.
Either way - that's great.
My green Tessie now has a new owner.
Yes. She was my baby for 5 years. I'm consoled by Tessie 2, now called Tessie.Bittersweet to see her go, huh?
My delivery is slipping by 1 month to Dec 31. See below unbelievable trip! Somebody f...it up9114s, That's great news for you. Congratulations. Very pleased for you.

"Your vehicle is currently being routed to the Wilmington port. Our vehicles usually leave out of the San Diego port, however there was a bottleneck at the port that was causing delays. We rerouted our fleets to avoid further delays. Your vehicle is scheduled to leave port next week and arrive in Honolulu in mid-December. From there it will be cleaned, detailed and inspected before being shipped to you on Maui."
