Let's hope they add a Tesla plug in the future: First Look At EVgo Fast Charging With New Built-In Tesla Connector
There is a broken HECO fast charger at Kapolei Commons that is scheduled to be replaced 1st quarter of 2020
Good that charger has been faulty for what seems like two years. Charging rate was piss poor and not worth the money for a so called quick charge.
Nothing yet from the weekly Oahu/Maui county permit scanning. But I see a lot of powerwall install permits every week for Oahu, so at least that's something positive.
Disney Aulani resort is getting EV chargers, but there's no mention of Tesla and a $30k cost seems a bit small as well, but we can keep an eye on it. Honolulu Internet Permit System - Building Permit
Aulani already has quite a few Chargepoint chargers which are free (with the paid self parking fee). Four Seasons also has Tesla HPWC, but it's available via valet only.
Okay, E-v-e-r-ybody. Let it out. Breathe out. Shake it out, hands over your heads and shake three times. Now, breath back in again. H-o-l-d it. This was for the crowd that has been holding their breaths waiting (still) for our first Supercharger.
Are Tesla Supercharger stations only for Tesla's? Cuz I'm tired of these damn Leaf's hogging all the other ones! And tired of following slow [email protected]@ prius's over the Pali too for that matter! #teslaspoiled
Yes. Teslas' have an embedded security certificates in the software. Two of those functions for the security certificates are to identify the Tesla to the Tesla servers for OTAs and the other for Superchargers. When the Supercharger system recognizes the specific Tesla it enables charging. The leaf does not have Tesla security certificates. Even if the Leaf could plug in, there is no completion of the handshake between the Leaf and the Tesla system to authorize the charging.
Sweet! I just tried to send you a direct message, but didn't do it correct i think. I "started a conversation ". Whatever that is...
Think it might be a 'shock' to the Prius's system (so to speak). One way to reduce Prius overtake is to let them connect to a Tesla Supercharger and then turn on the juice - but stand back!
No indication this is related to Tesla, but Wet & Wild in Kapolei has pulled 4 permits to install a solar canopy and EV charging stations in their parking area. Looks like over $2M of work. Probably worth keeping an eye on this one. New permit for "electric vehicle charging station" at 322 Aoloa St in Kailua: Honolulu Internet Permit System - Building Permit Based on the price, probably not a supercharger, but another spot on which to keep tabs.
That’s an apartment complex off a private road, so probably not anything that will be usable by the general public, unfortunately. Doesn’t the Tesla website have a “coming soon” for Superchargers in Kailua?
One Call Concepts Ticket List Do these permits mean anything? Both are new tickets and state "Vertical Bores" for "Tesla Inc". I am not in your state, so I will leave it to whoever wants to set up these respective locations supercharger forum pages and probable listings on supercharge.info if in fact they are superchargers.
Not for superchargers. I think those are probably for Tesla's grid-scale battery systems that they are going to be building in Hawaii.
