Happy to answer this. Its simple.
LED Lighting waterproof strips and connected to a small fuse box with a remote controller between the negative and positive terminals on the support behind the nosecone. I can turn if on and off with a 12V remote controller that I picked up on Amazon for $17.00
This is mounted with sticky back side LED strips on the chrome lower section of the nosecone. These have a white background and more obvious. I have some on order that are black background with bright white LEDs because these will not be noticed as easily. These strips were cut from a 16 foot reel that didn’t have connectors. I used the strips to measure from the center of my lower section under the nosecone and up to the curve of the smile about half way up the side of the nosecone. I needed to use a 30+ inch section on each side, because my front camera is mounted in the center of the chrome under the nosecone. That’s why she looks like she’s missing a tooth in the middle. If the adhesive doesn't stick well, add a little clear silicone to help it.
I needed two each two conductor small wire lengths about 18 inches long. I soldered these sections to the end of the LED strips and insulated them with shrink wrap. Feed it up through the heavy steel support behind the nosecone. You want to use small/thin wire so it won’t be pinched into by the end of the nosecone when snapped back into place. One strip is each side. It may be simpler to buy three foot lengths of sticky backed white LEDs with wire already attached, and avoid the effort of soldering wire on LEDs.
Of course you want to fuse the power. I used a small fuse box and got power from the two terminals behind the nosecone. Added a small 12V controller sealed in a small black box with a handheld remote that I hang on the turn signal. It’s on and off with a red LED that tells me when I press the button. I can’t tell if the strips are turned on or off. So, I need to manually check to insure I am not leaving them on if I don’t want them on. The controller has two remotes. One can stay in the car and the other in my pocket when I am out. Then if I see I left the lights on, I can turn them off without going back to the car.
Once it’s wired up with the strips hanging from the ends of the nosecone opening, pop the nosecone back in. Then starting from the center of the chrome lower section of the nosecone, peel the backing off the adhesive strips and lay it on the chrome lower section and route it up the curve of the chrome to form the “smile”. Do the other side.
Yesterday and passed a Model S going in the other direction. When I had spotted his Daytime Running Lights, I had time to press the remote button on and off twice so I “smiled” at him twice before he passed. Even in daylight the lights will draw attention as the toggle on then off. I can drive with them on too.
