Hawaii Tesla Owners: What did you drive prior to getting your MS?

I drove a 2010 Prius. I got the MS because my daughter will be learning to drive soon so she will need a car.

I don't even remember having a car before my MS. My friend said I had something. But I just don't remember. (Could it be a mental block because it was one of those old ICE types?) Maybe.) But sorry, I can admit to being so non-green, so wasteful, so 20th century. That's my story and I am sticking to it :wink:

Leading up to our 40 Model S, we drove 2 reliable Honda Accords since 2000 essentially, accumulating almost 300,000 total miles. Before that, I drove a blue '73 Chevy Nova SuperSport for a few years.

Never paid more than $5,000 for a car until the Civic, which was 4 yrs. old. Tesla is my first new car.

That is AMAZING!! I'll bet you're the only Tesla owner who can say that!

I've had an '88 CR-X, '93 MR-2 turbo, '01 S2000, BMW 535i and 328i before getting the Tesla.

I am turning in a 2012 BMW 650i for a P85 coming in February (just got my Vin Number today). Previously I had driven mostly late model Porsches since the mid-70's. Despite my ICE history, I am super excited about my Tesla. I am online all the time learning as much as possible.

Congratations on a wise choice! I hope you ordered it with the parking sensors. That's pretty much the only thing I miss on my BMW.
