I'd be interested to hear overall impression if you think it's worth it or not. I've been going back and forth on if I want to sign up for TOU. On one hand, I don't think the additional savings on what I use from > 9pm will offset the increased cost, particularly between 5-9pm, which is when we're probably using the most for cooking, watching TV, HVAC, etc. I'm also wondering how adding EV TOU rates will interact with my future PV plans.

I agree that the additional savings from 9 PM on probably wouldn't offset most people's increased cost from 5 to 9 PM. The kicker though is the increased net benefit from our PV panels at the higher rate that TOU allows. I think that'll benefit quite a bit. Though will have to see how the numbers work out to be sure.

@spleen - Just to confirm, you have both EV TOU and PV net metering, and you're getting the higher TOU rate credited for your PV net credit generation during the day, AND the lower EV TOU > 9pm at night? Did you have the NEM first, then get PV TOU?

I agree figuring the numbers is the only way to be sure. The hard part for me is knowing what my usage is during the day vs. at night, and I'm too lazy (and forgetful) to go take manual readings each day. I'd almost wonder if it would be a waste, since you can only carry net credits on net metering for a 12 month period.

Yes (to all of the above) :)

That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! How many Model Ss will be sold as a result?! For anyone who can afford a Four Seasons stay and book the limo service, I would expect a lot! Great find!

That is awesome! I wonder if they will roll this out to the Four Seasons Hualalai as well?

I took a friend who flew in from Honolulu for the day last week to Four Seasons Hualalai for lunch and tomorrow I'm picking up a couple friends from Honolulu who are staying there to bring them to our house for dinner. Does that count?

I would be stoked if the Four Seasons Hualalai got a few. I attend the West Hawaii Cancer Symposium every year there; actually I am here at the Four Seasons since the conference this weekend. There are a lot of doctors I have talked with that want a MS. They have fundraising dinner for cancer research and it would be cool if they auctioned off a Tesla MS to rent while you stay here.

Only if you're charging them the same price that the hotel is. At least we all have a reference point now for what "market" pricing is for renting our cars.

I will be making my S available through the transportation company that I manage. It will be the first available for-hire Tesla in the island of Oahu.

GRRRRRRR! I found another door ding on my car when I was washing it today. It chipped a little paint off, but it didn't leave a dent so maybe I can fix it with the paint pen. I'm getting sick and tired of careless/inconsiderate/thoughtless people banging my car! I already have one nasty door ding which chipped paint and left a dent. I also have some bumper kisses on the back from other cars that left three nicks.

I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND MAKE YOU PAY!

My dearest fellow HTO's. I heard something today that made me laugh so hard, well I think I pulled a muscle or cracked a rib. Now, I must protect my source, so I can not reveal who the owner was that said this, but he/she was talking about their own Model S too. So the reference was not made out of context but from one of our own about one of our own. "They" (neutral gender), they said, "It is great. It is a car in the end". I know, I know, I know what you are thinking. No this person had not been drinking, and was also not at that moment in traffic pressing the go-pedal. (If they were, these words certainly would not have been possible.) We must be patient. I will continue to monitor this almost serious infraction and perform an on-the-spot correction when actually warranted. Dat's funny, huh? "It is a car in the end". Yeah, funny, aha hahahahahaha.

No one thought this was funny. It didn't earn even one snappy reply. Being Teslaless has thrown my game off. hmmm

Great news. I parked my MS at the airport on Thursday morning and came home on Sunday afternoon. The parking was free. Saw the $60 ring up first. However, the phantom drain hit me. I left my car with 120 miles left and drove out with 100 miles left. Ugh.
