Aloha all

I’m awaiting an updated VIN for a M3 mid range. They assigned me a 2018 and I’m updating it to a 2019.

HECO is offering a $50 credit for their GOEV charger here:

Will the M3 be able to use any of their chargers? Do they have any level 2 chargers?

Mahalo for all the information you guys been discussing. Aloha.

You need a Chaedemo adapter to use HECO's fast chargers. Unfortunately, Chaedemo charging isn't available for the Model 3 yet. Tesla has said they will add that functionality in the future so who knows when the will happen.

Hopefully sooner as the Supercharging network in the States are flooded with Tesla's. It would make life easier, especially here, for some kind of fast charging adapters to be more versatile.

Note - The $50 charging credit is only available if you've purchased an EV in 2019. You have to input your purchase date & VIN on the HECO website, which I presume means that there will be some sort of validation done.

Some HECO fast chargers havs CCS too.
I think that adapter might come faster than the Chaedemo one.
it shouldn't take much to change the Model S/X CHAdeMo adapter to work with the model 3.o_O Its probably just a firmware change in the adapter to match the M3 Specs.

I stopped using my CHAdeMo adapter when they jacked the price up.

Got my $50 credit today. It's an OpConnect $50 credit so it can be used for all their chargers, not just the DC fast chargers. Woohoo!
I got the opconnect credit too. I used one only once so far, offers like first 2 hrs or something free anyways, I'll probably never use the $50 credit. Who parks for so long anyway?
