I never even got anything. Funny enough they sent me tracking info that said the item was delivered a day before I even made the purchase. My CC company already refunded me so for anyone else.

DO NOT buy it from the $99 link posted.
I've gotten this scam before. They just post a tracking number for something that was actually delivered to your city and then they can claim that the problem is on your end. Definitely do a charge back on this one.

Edit: Go through PayPal escalation because they will look at the tracking number initially and say it isn't their fault and you have to resolve through the seller. Then go to AmEx (or other CC) and tell them to do a chargeback and THEN PayPal will start to be more helpful. In the end, PayPal and your CC will duke it out and everything will be fine.

On a side note. Anyone here who does get scammed please file a complaint with the FTC and IC3. This will ensure these guys get busted and the money gets recovered to whatever extent possible.

BearBu, Trust is the biggest issue on purchasing a product. Where and how can we buy your HDMI Input Box? Can you open a topic dedicated to your tools and support?

Disregard, post #127 says your products can be purchased on Amazon and/or Ebay. Just wish the company name would say BearBu inc or something.

yes, we have a purchasing link on eBay, also working on one with Aliexpress. The one in Amazon is expired.

HDMI Interface Box for Tesla Model S / X | eBay
Bearbu, I recently purchased two of these kits. I have two 2014 pre ap1 model s LHD. I cant get either car to make the hdmi switcher to click when I pull the cruise control stalk (no light on stalk). Is there a way to test via a certain pin on obd2?

Hello @BearBu and all the community,
I've just bought a kit for my Model S P85 Pre-AP. The switching between the rear camera / HDMI does not seem to work for me.
After doing all the wiring, I can see the rear camera but pulling the cruise control trigger does nothing.
Any idea on what to test?
Thanks!

You can try long-pressing the Menu button (the bottom one) on the right side of the steering wheel.
I think Tesla updates can render some of these shortcuts obsolete. I start out pulling the autopilot stalk, then suddenly it no longer worked but a long-press of the Menu button did. Now, they both work for some reason. :)

Thanks for the answer, but the menu button is not working either.
I’ve read that some old model S need an extra cable because of their OBD port is different?

I have a 2015 85D and the kit. Try a long (2 second) push to end button on cruise lever. It appears to then stay in this mode until you do the same again. However, similar long push on the menu button also works for me - so not sure why yours isn't.

I prefer the menu button as the cruise lever will keep switching each time you do a "Resume" on cruise.

Not clear about a different CAN plug. There is a secondary CAN interface for tapping into other vehicle information behind the middle cubby shelf - this one does need an adapter if you are looking to get other diagnostics for apps like TPT.

If your unit still doesn't work for you then you may need to get a new interface box. BearBu did mention he might have an "upgrade".

Hi, is your Pre-AP made before Jun 2013? If so, you don't have the Pin1 and Pin9 on the OBD port. So you need a special cable (TDC to OBD cable) as a bridge for extending the Pin1 & Pin9 (CAN6 + and -) from TDC to OBD.

You can have a visual check on your OBD port to see if your have the Pin1 and 9 on the OBD port by referring the below pic
